  • MOONLIGHT...easy cheap...any pointers?

    hey guys, good morning. as i said im addicted to this place and trying to get my 55gal up to par with yalls...maybe if i wasnt broke id be able to haha..college is a B!tC#...anyway, anyone have idea or know any light that can just be put onto existing top cover for moon light? just wanting to see the tank at night.

    I have the stunner light on my 150. With one of those, I was suprised how bright it is. Maybe too bright for your 55. I had 3 little LEDs built into the light on my old 72 and it was the perfect amount of light.

    I am not too good with electronics, but someone on here should be able to tell you how to rig a couple leds up for relatively little money.

      Look into cold cathode lights. They are used to light up fancy computers. They use virtually no power, and are pretty cheap if you are willing to make them fit in your housing.
