  • Moving time...

I'm moving up to friendswood and off the island, most of the stuff is already up there, except for the tanks and big furniture. Because movers aren't coming until the 27th, I had to find a place to hold my fish from the 24th until then. Because fish and inverts aren't going to live in a bag for 4 days, I've opted with a more...open concept.

Christmas eve all the fish and plants are moving up to the new place and will be stored in an igloo cooler until the tanks arrive! I've steadily given away most of my fish, so all I'm left with are a few killifish, a school of jumbo cardinal tetras, my group of bamboo shrimp, and my massive viper shrimp. I'm filling the cooler with all my live plants, so there will be plenty of oxygen, and I'm using a desk lamp to make the plants oxygenate the water. Now the only variable is how many of these buggers are going to become carpet-bling while I'm gone. There are a ton of plants, so I'm hoping that makes them feel secure. If not... it's nothing I can't replace.

    Welcome to the neighborhood.

What area are you moving into?

With Glass Onion moving our way it might be time for a south side gathering in the near future.

Heck yea, Friendswood is starting to represent. I am glad to see more southside members also. We could almost hold our own tank tour soon.
