  • Over populating

I have 12 guppies in a 5 gallons Tetra Aquarium, I got rid of the Whisper 5 filter and replaced it with a Marineland Penguin 100. The Bio Wheel is established, and the tank is getting cycled 20 times an hour. I'm doing a 1 gallon water change every week. I know the rule of thumb is 1 inch of fish per gallon, but I've seen 30 gallons aquariums houses 200-300 healthy guppies with monthly water change. does any one have a small over populating tank set up? any advice is welcome.

Just more water changes will help a lot.
I ate my fish that died.
