Kind of pink freshwater fish?

So the agreement with the wife about me getting a fish tank is that we had to keep a pink or purple fish as well.

Well everything is established and well she mentioned it (again) last night.

So the question is, IS there a kind of pink or purple or some girly color fresh water fish I can buy to keep my end of the deal?

What kind of fish are you keeping and size of tank? Maybe pink kissing gouramis? And she'll probably think its cool that they kiss.

tank is a 40 long, only thing in there now is a couple of feeders for the oscars

A 40 may not be big enough. Kissing gouramis get big. Many albino species look pink. A school of 6 or so albino cories would fit the bill I think, and you could still have room for more fish. For purple you could look at anabantids; betta or paradise.

A school of glo-fish would do the trick. They look pretty cool! or bettas.
All I could think of.
Cherry barbs would also be an option.
