        Tank looks great!

Dang, to empty again just to level it.....sheesh.

How unlevel are we talking....drastically???  My 55 isn't level from the front to the back.  I just keep the water level right above the trim line and you can't tell by looking straight at it.  You are going to have a hard time trying to wedge wood shims under that much weight.....have fun with that.  Plus, wouldn't adding unequal amounts of pressure to the corners or other points just create more stress on the seams of the tank???

Shimming the stand won't add the uneven pressure to the tank's seams.

I would do what Raul stated...........empty and shim it cause I can see it in the picture.

A shim I will use! Thanks wvgdiscus and Mzungu. As for what materials I used - I bought 4 yards of plain black fabric from Walmart (enough for a 2-ply) for $4 total.  It is being held up with good ole duct tape.I ended up using about 1.5 bags (75lbs) of pool filter sand from Leslie's Pool
              Supply.

Hanson77 - I would probably do as you suggested by filling it upto the point where you don't see any water from all sides. In fact, that is what I did on another tank that I have up and running right now. Unfortunately, it is a bit trickierto do that to a reef ready aquarium...

On my 180 saltwater tank the level of water is above the trim. Yes it does have the over flow built in. I have a 2500 gph pump on it. Only using 96 watts.  If you have enough water flow the water should stay above the trim.

What I was thinking about was the evaporation aspect of a wet/dry and having to add water every 4 or five days to keep it up there. Perhaps I am wrong? I am relatively new to wet/dry filters.... is this an urban myth?

You can use a topoff like this one http://www.top-off.com/ if you setup a container to hold extra water. This way you will only need to refill once a week or so.
The owner lives in Crosby his name is Trey. I use this on my saltwater sump.
When ever I get my fish room setup the way I would like I will be getting another one for it.

Yes just one other thing I can think of. Now that your draining it. Go ahead & break it all the way down & Give me your addrees & I will come over & pick the whole thing up. Cause you know that big of a tank will be way to much trouble to keep up.

                          Just kidding.
Good luck with getting it level
