  • gobies?

does any one know the name for the type of fresh water or may be brackish water currently available at fish gallery.

They're gray with a black stripe. I was trying to do some research bc i like them but i cant seem to find what kind they are.

Also saw some real tiny... i mean tiny, needle looking fish, i'd like to get but i doubt anyone knows what they are.

omg I found it.... on page 24 if you google "freshwater goby".

Redigobius Balteatus - Freshwater neon goby, or the rhino horn goby. Pretty sure it's going to be a brackish fish. Fishbase describes it as "Adults inhabit coastal estuaries, lakes, and entering lower reaches of freshwater streams". I would say you could keep them in fresh, but you are going to get the best color and probably best survival out of a mildly brackish setup.

The little needle fish are called a toothpick fish, Indostomus crocodilis. It was either that or the Red Tribal Halfbeak.

Pretty sure those are what I remember.

yea it's not the neon goby i'm looking for. The one i'm looking for is gray with 1 or 2 vertical stripe/s. If you google images rhino goby i believe it's the first 2 pics that show up.

I'm not sure on the needle fish but i'll probably give them a call first and ask them what it is so i can make sure it's something that'll do fine in my setup.

By the way did you read the bad side of the toothpick fish as a parasite.
