  • What type of rock and where

OK starting my African C tank, now I need to get some rock. I am up in the Spring area (north). I know fish stores have their mark up, but I did not know if there are rock places to look also.

Did not see much at Aquarium World on 290 very limited and 1.99 a pound.

You are right. Stay away from fish stores for rock. Way too expensive.

The ones that I have used are not too convenient for you.

Jewell is a subsidiary of Oldcastle APG, a CRH company. The one-stop shop for everything needed to complete your interior stonework and outdoor hardscape projects.

You will need to catch it on a day when they have a broken (partially used) pallet of the type you want. They don't like to break a new pallet open for you to take a few pieces. Most yards also have a scrap bin to pick through.

150 gallon - my African cichlid monster tank (I know it isn't a big as yours)
17 gallon - Threadfin rainbows and corys lightly planted
5 gallon - planted red cherry shrimp breeder
3 gallon - planted red cherry shrimp breeder
