hey thanks it would help but there's a lot of fish in the tank and it has lots of plants and driftwoods is it possible to neutralize the coppersafe?

If you use coppersafe falow the directions. after your snails dead you will need to do a big water change 90% the coppersafe will be neutrale.

once you use coppersafe you may never be able to keep shrimp in that aquarium. I had MTS in a 75 gallon and the assassins have cleaned that up in a couple months. now i have to find feeder snails for them lol. clown loaches never totally eradicated MTS for me but they kept the numbers down to a good balance. MTS are actually great for keeping the gravel cleaned if their numbers can be maintained. traps work too, i used to put a slice of cucumber in a food clip and then just pick them off every morning when the lights come on. For large numbers, you can also remove all the things you want to keep and turn off the filters while you start slightly overdosing co2 in the aquarium...the MTS will flee to the top of the aquarium glass to breathe (<-Tims idea!)

Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?

frozenfire, I am sorry but coppersafe will kill your shrimp. If you have them in that tank do not use coppersafe. I just seen the bamboo shrimp post and put 2&2 together.

I put a algae wafer in the tank and the snails swarm it. Then you simply pick them out.

                        Re: Snails

I have some nerites & assassins in the same tank, my assassin snails don't seem to bother the nerites at all. The nerites are a lot larger than the assassins though.

I asked the shopkeeper and he said the assassin snails will eat them. feel safer and will buy then now anyway anyway any snails that breed fast? I don't want the assassin snails to starve

mts or ramshorns, I suggest a separate tank.
