  • Help Identifing WC Fish

Can someone please help me identify this fish? I caught the fish along with several sail-fin mollies and mosquito fish using a minnow trap in the bayou by my house. It's personality reminds me of our figure 8 puffer and will swim to the front and watch you when you walk in the room. Also has eaten any kind of food I toss in from day 1.

Texas Cichlid gets my vote too.

But it could also be a baby flower horn.

I was walking my dog around the bayou near my house the other day and I swear I saw a 6-8" fish that looked just like a cheap flower horn that someone must have released.
I ate my fish that died.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.
