They can but you have to be careful and experienced. The problem is that both feed from the bottom of the tank. However, the Geos are more aggressive then discus so you have to make sure that the discus get their food as well. I would keep the temp the same the both like about the same temp.

i kept discus with altum angels and even then the angels were far more agressive feeders. You would really have to baby this, maybe use dividers at feeding time now and again but i wouldnt think it to be worth the risk75G Standard - High Light Planted Community Fish

12G Eclipse - Bonsai Planted Betta & Shrimp

33G Cubish - Vivarium w/ D.auratus 'blue & bronze'

I would NOT mix discus and geos.

Far better then Geos with Frontosa, or Discus with Frontosa. Its tricky with the Geos and Discus, but either with Frontosa is really asking for troubles. Research your species and where they originate, their respective water requirements are leagues from each other. My recommendation is to research, research, research. When you have done that and have developed an idea that you consider plausible, then ask up on here for any advice or experience. You will receive far better results and you can honestly answer most of your own questions. Some things are truly trial and error and have never been done, but realize their is usually a valid reason it has not...In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

I'm keeping my geos with angels that are about 7" tall and can fend for themselves (whereas discus can end up being a little more passive), but this is a new tank and I'm also being very, very cautious about things. You still have to be really careful about watching for overt aggression and to make sure that everyone's getting to eat and no one's pinned or injured. People have successfully kept discus with geos before but neither species got comfortable enough to breed successfully. I definitely agree with the fact that you really have to do your research and spend a lot of time watching and correcting things in your setup. All bleeding stops eventually...
