    Victor, give Raul a call

If you are nearby Raul snag some seeded filter media and/or substrate and throw it into your tank and it should speed up the cycle process a great deal. When you are done you should have gotten NitrIte readings, Ammonia readings and in the end you should have zero of those two and only NitrAtes.

yeah and having some plants always helps too, and deciding what fish to start with depends a lot on what you want in the tank. if community several options are available, a lot fo tetras are good to start with. if tis gonna be a semiagressive tank i would say guaramis, and if it is a cichlids tank what kind south american/ or african/ cus that changes it too. or you can just throw some zebra danios and not care what happens to them either way.

I don't cycle my tanks with fish but if you go that route pic something other then feeder fish and make sure they are healthy to start.
