  • I feel like an idiot

I bought an eheim automatic feeder last week, I opened it up and followed the directions or so I thought. I've been working for the past week 12 hours a day so I don't get home till close to eight. I'd get home and see everyone and walk into my sons room to see how the fish are doing. Every time I would walk in there, they would start hovering around the top of the tank like they were starving. So I would go ahead and push the button and feed them. So today was the first time I've been home early enough to see when it goes off and feeds. So I waited. And waited. And waited. Nothing. Reset the feed time and nothing. Pulled out the instructions and seen that very very important step of turning on the feed time. So feeder 1 Me 0

At least there were no witnesses (except us). I once was trying to use a bone saw in the ER and the patient's dad pointed out to me that it wasn't plugged in.

I did the same thing with my timer for my automatic misting system for my terrarium. I took a few days before I realized the water level in the reservoir wasn't dropping.

                  Flail? That would be comical.

I have a new filter coming in so maybe I'll do a little better with it than I did with the feeder.

Speaking of ehiem feeders! Ill be leaving for school so I got one and or the past month I haven't been able to find a good place to put it without half of it spilling on the floor or on the canopy and then turning to goop so I just had an aha moment and put it on top of my hob filter I felt like such a jackass lmao xD

I think i feel worse now after reading where you put yours, I didn't think about that spot. My wifes small tank has the same problem, it dumps about 3/4 in the tank the other 1/4 on the counter top. I'll have to move it to the top on the filter when I get home...
