  • Eheim 2213 issues..

Ok, so not sure what is going on with this filter.

It makes a sound like there are bubbles in it and there isn't much pressure coming out of the spray bar.

I have cleaned it out twice figuring it is just dirty, but I still have this issue.

Any ideas or tips I could use to fix this problem, before I go buy another filter?

Check the impeller and the ceramic impeller shaft. I bet it is one of the other

      1. Did you take apart the impeller assembly? There's sometimes garbage up in there. No tools or anything needed to do so just a q tip to clean it out.

      2. If you have a lot of micro bubbles coming out... may sound barbaric, but beat the hell out of the filter. Smack the side of it while running. It will loosen up the big air bubble inside, allowing the impeller to catch all water.

        1.
I took it out and just rinsed the the impeller and the hole it goes in out with water. Ill try the Q Tip.

        2. It will be quite for a few minutes but still not alot of pressure then start back up with the noise, and do it over and over and over and over until I walk away before I throw it against the wall.. lol

+1 impeller assembly. Its the only moving part in the filter.

I have the noise bubble problem everytime I clean my eheim. I did what was suggest by other users which is lightly shake the canister back and forth several times to force the bubble trapped inside out. Worked well for me.

I turn it upside down until all the air bubbles get out.
