Do you have them on different timers? Like 1st one, then both, then back to 1, then off?

No, both on the same timer. Since each strip is 36" long, having them on different timers will look very odd on a 72" tank

Gotcha....my bad...I was thinking of 2 48" strips for a 5x2x2 foot tank with dual timers...too much light?

That will work, and you can run them on two overlapping timers like you want to, but keep in mind that you'll need two separate power supplies to do that.

Two 48" on a 60" tank would be a bit much, but it'll work.

It's only fish so 1 48" would be good IMO.

I think I'm going to get the current USA led plus so I can use it for the different color effects and add stunner strip to get it brighter. Do you think that would work?

The 48" current USA sat+ LEDs should be bright enough by itself to light up a tank for fish only. You only need to concern yourself with par if you were to grow plants. The stunner strip would overpower the look of the sat+. You'd have to pick one or the other.

I'm going to order the current USA led and test it out if I don't like it I will return it but I'm looking forward to the different effects it will produce..
