  • Tropheus afraid of light

So a buddy of mine was growing out a group of tropheus polli until I was able to move my Lufubu to another tank. They're about 2" in size. They've been hiding under my rock for about 4 days now. They do eat, they swim out fast, peck at food, and swim back under cover. When lights are off, they're actively swimming around so it tells me they're not sick. The first 3-4 months of their life was in a tank with plain/old t8 lights and now they're in my bright led lights. How long should it take for them to adjust? These are the first fish to have a problem with my lights

Maybe they need some type of dither fish to coax them out.

I guess I can throw in some Kachese or dubs that are similar size for the time being and see how they do after that

Take the rock out. It'll force them to be more social and they'll get used to humans and light.

I'll do that after another day or two if I need to. I threw in 6-7 dubs that are a little smaller than them. Already seeming more active. I don't think theyre afraid of me. They come out and follow me around when lights are off
