Hey guys,
So we got these 2 adorable puffers and they are doing so well, healthy appetite, personality plus.
We feed frozen bloodworms and frozen mysis shrimp. And every time I see a snail in another tank, I snatch it out and toss it in with them. My question is, do your puffers eat the entire snail? It appears that these guys are taking them out, but the snail shells are not very mangled. The whole point is for them to trim their beak, so I want to make sure this is happening.
What else do you guys feed? Any suggestions or tips on making sure these guys are getting everything they need?
Also, we drop a feeder in there occasionally. Will the feeder bones serve the same purpose?
They are Golden Puffers (Auriglobus modestus) and I read they are more prone to overgrown teeth. Not sure how true this is, but it's what I've read and now I'm paranoid.
