I moved all the old fish into the main tank to create a quarantine tank. Honestly, I was concerned because I saw more dead fish at this place than I thought you should see, our have seen, at other lfs. So I wanted to play it safe. Initially I had a group of 5, which was cut down to 4. Then a few days later I added 6 more, again one died so I was at 9 when I went to work this morning. Now I'm at 7, since I lost 2 more today. I hadn't tested water yet, but I will tonight. It just seemed very odd to me since the previous fish were fine in that tank. The fish were a little skiddish at first, but now when they see me they know it's cool and don't try to hide. So maybe they were a little stressed at first, but they seem fine to me. Just swimming around with each other, except for 2 that just hang out by the heater. They have the same markings and colors and they just hang out by the heater except when food goes in. That was one that I said looked iffy and died today. His friend is still just hanging out there, so I am concerned about him. Also, could it be a problem that they are all males?
