I currently have really shallow gravel bed and my plants are either tied to drift wood or floated. I will get some more gravels and build up another 1 inches to bury the root tab.010G Long fin BN grow-out

give it a month and you may see some new growth. add some form of co2 and if ya want weekly dose of liquid fert (for an extra boost but carful of algae). that's the advice iv gotten and it works. what all plants do you have in there?

Usually I recommend tabs for heavy root feeders, like swords, stems, and crypts. Most recommended substrate layers for planted tanks is 3-4" deep at the rear, moving on a slope to 1-2" in the front. With everything being epiphytic (clinging or tied to wood) a water column dosing might be far more effective after water changes. Something like a Seachem Flourish should be fine. Usually with tabs, we place one under all of our big feeders (like swords, crypts, or a stem bunch) and then randomly every 6-8" in densely planted tanks every 6-8 months (low tech), high tech would need more as the plants are growing much faster. In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

that is a long time. guess I overdid it a bit, I started off with one bag and a month later added another bag. its a 60g so maybe not so bad. been thinking of using one of the small fluval co2 injection kits since its kind of an intro for beginners but they are soooo small idk it would be practical for a 60g
