  • I'm...dreaming of a fish-room!

With number of fish tanks growing significantly in the house, I wish to have a fish room to move everything into and keep them out of wifey's eye. LOL.

These are my current running tanks:

    125G Mbuna collectible
    90G Tanganyika
    72G bow front Flower Horn
40G breeder housing Pleco breeder and larger Leulepi fry
    30G high Leulepi love nest
    30G high Flower Horn
20G high guppies (my kids' tank)
    20G long Multi shellies
    20G high large Leulepi fry
    10G small Leulepi fry

Who's on my boat to a "fish-room" dream?

In the good old days in St. Louis, I had a basement with unlimited space for aquariums. I lost count after 50.

I believe "unlimited space for aquarium" is any fish-head's wildest dream. Good old day indeed!
Are you going to build it back up now you are here in Houston?

It just isn't possible in my current home. Tropical fish keeping is far more popular in the northern states - long winters and lots of basement space.

Most people build fish room out of their garage. Most garage now has a tandem parking which would be a perfect spot for a small fish room.

My filters take all space under the stand, so I can't do this. Lol

My stand is 40" tall and 72" long the rest of the stand with the doors closed is the filter. One big Wet/Dry. I keep all the door shut most the time. Don't want my wife seeing the other tanks.

First, 90 tanks is a sickness - I have it too!

Second, the heat in my attic is unbearable during the summer months. How do you regulate the temperature?
