  • What can I do about excessive moisture in the house?

Currently have about 600 gallon of water inside the house. I have glass top for all the tank. The only opening on some tanks are the space where I don't install the plastic strip that come with glass top. There is still a lot of moisture in the air. I'm thinking I probably need to invest in a good Dehumidifier?

Your furnace is in part a dehumidifier. In the summer, the average humidity outside is 30 to 50 percent. You probably create more humidity in your house with your dishwasher and shower.

I actually like to have a little humidity inside my home, since the heater has to be on so often due to cold weather, the inside air is so dry and cause some bleeding in my kids'noses.

I have the same issue. It is funny that there are no issues in the fish room, but all of the moisture winds up in the carpets, clothing and on furniture. I have mold just randomly growing on belts and furniture and lots of condensation on single pane windows. I have uncovered stock tanks that I keep fish in. I can easily lose 10-20 gallons in evaporation per week. A dehumidifier or an air exchanger or a ventilation fan would be the best option. Try to cover up you tanks to prevent evaporation if possible.

Don't take baths and showers. It will definitely lower the humidity in your house but may result in less popularity with family, friends and co-workers.

Gasp! Cutting back tanks is never an option.

                    I cut back 3 tanks: 30g, 20g and 10g. But add back a 72g bow front. Lmao!

Did you replace the 100 with the 72?

In high school, I had condensation/fogging issues on windows in my car.
