Yes, Richard is President of the Houston Chapter of the IBC "BettaHabari"
He raises Beautiful Bettas and feeds them Daphnia.
I havent seen his daphnia set up but I beleave it is outdoors in a big barrel or Horse trouph
with lots of leaves in the bottom & duckweed on the surface.
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'
If no one comes up with the phone number you can go to Aquabid, search for daphnia and ask seller Seertexasbettas a question. Here's one of his current auctions: Daphnia

The 70 gallon tank with no one fish at my daughters school has "green water". It is not close to a window and the lights I told them to leave the lights off for awhile. any other suggestions? I was going to drain the tank let it sit for a day and start over
IMO, the lights should stay out for a week or more and a series of water changes should be done. The most probably reason for the green water is high nitrates. water changes will lower those numbers and cut off the algea's food supply. If there are no fish or live plants in the tank some algea killer would work nicely too.

Spot... somewhere around 10000 will suffice ... Your gold fish will kill the colony off in about a weeks time but you will be able to see in to the water again. You will need to get a tank going and drop about 2000 into that tank, then every day pull 2-3 gallons of water out of your pond. Do this for about 3-4 weeks and you should have somewhere around 10-20k daphnia in there. Now take several good net scopes and drop them into your pond.. Btw you start with 100% pond water in the tank.. somewhere cool but lit.

I will be getting 2000 of them next Sunday. If any one wonts ant let me know asap. On May 4th
Are you getting them from the guy in Cleveland? Do you happen to know if he allows local pick-up? I'd like to get about 2k also, but typical American "must have it now" syndrome makes me want to just go get them, not wait for shipping. Cleveland isn't really all that far from my house since I'm on the NE side.
