More than likely contains copper sulfate.
Most snail-killing chemicals contain high levels of copper.
Using too much will kill your plants & fish.
Never add chemicals to your tank without surfing the net for side effects.

A massive snail kill will result in a large amount of decaying matter and, in turn, high ammonia levels  (polute your tank).
Be prepaired to follow up with plenty of partial water changes.
Test the ammonia level regularly for at least 2 weeks.

'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

      Re: RAMSHORN SNAILS?

I have snails in all my tanks. When they reach epidemic proportions, I know I've been over-feeding. When that happens I cut back on the food, and put a large section of cucumber on a saucer at the bottom of the tank. Whenever I walk by, I lift it out and pluck the snails. Ususally there are a lot of them on the cucumber in the morning. After a couple days they are at more manageable numbers. I don't use the chemical method for the reasons Bob gave.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.
