Re: Preparing your aquariums for a hurricane

i have a PTO generator built into my truck ('08 F350 SRW) which allows a continuous 20kW of power (more than enough to power my house, let alone some fish tanks). the only provision i need is some extra jerry cans of diesel fuel to keep my truck running indefinitely; as though a 36gal and 40gal fuel tank isn't enough...

if worse comes to worst, i can use the on-board air compressor as a super-high-powered bubbler.  8O

Will fast fish tomorrow and do water changes before Ike hits. Also have 8 battery powered air pumps and the D cells that girlgeek didn't buy.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.
