Just curious, how much are these worth (about 10"), and are they fairly uncommon?

They are worth as much as people are willing to pay for them. They definately aren't rare, but are not your staple fish either. I don't recall one ever appearing on the Fish Market here on HFB... Most LFS would sell them at that size around $30-50 I would guess.
The main aspect of these fish that keeps the value down is their tendency to outgrow tanks. I personally think they they're beautiful fish.Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.

I haven't had this one long, but I've been so busy with other things, I'm sort of in one of those 'loosing interest' funks when it comes to my tanks lately. The last time i've seen this one was when I bought him. Now he just lives in the big rock cave and hides all the time. I'm going to move all of those fish to another setup soon (hopefully this week) but I was just toying with the idea of selling him, since I never see him anyway!
