If you accumulate 100 infraction points within 60 days, we will automatically ban you 7 days, and your subsequent posts will require approval from moderators until we're satisfied that you can behave like a mature and responsible member again. If you accumulate 125 infraction points within 60 days, you will be banned from HoustonFishBox.com forever.
The kind of infraction you get will generally depend on the severity of the offense. Generally speaking, minor disruptions to the forum and classless behavior will be frowned upon, but will put you on our radar. Showing a complete and utter lack of respect towards other members, moderators, and the rules of the forum will result in harsher penalties.
In other words, we don't mind verbal sparring to some degree, but we want to see a clean debate (with facts, logic, and valid arguments). Spitting, biting, hair pulling, and blows to the back of the head or below the belt are strictly forbidden.
What to do if you get an infraction:
Nothing -- even when it's completely obvious, a moderator will explain why they gave you an infraction. If you don't want to accumulate any more infraction points, simply cease in that behavior and, in most cases, your infraction points will expire in 60 days. However, some infractions will stay on your account for 6 months.
