EDIT - Okay, it's up and running. Some very basic albums are created for you to start posting your pics for everyone to see! You can post in your own 'member gallery' OR you can post them in content specific galleries I've created. As always, this is just the jumping off point. I know it's going to need some changes to make it better and more useful, so keep your ideas coming! What other categories can we use? Would sub-categories benefit us?
To use: Click the link in the menu bar called 'Gallery'. You will see an 'Upload Photos' link on the right. Click the link, choose the gallery you want to upload to, and then browse to your photos to upload.

For the next couple of days I'll be working on the Photo Album feature. There is a more 'enhanced' photo album that I am working to implement here. I'm letting you know this because until it's completely up and running, the current Photo Album links may temporarily send you to a bad page.

There isn't a way to import the current photos into the new system, so I want to keep both online. How would you like to see the links to get to both albums? What would make it easy to distinguish between the 2?

Here are some of the features you'll see in the new Photo Album...
- You can upload photos to a category (like Full Tank Shots or fish species specific, for example) or to your own gallery
- You can create your own subcategories/subgalleries within your personal gallery
- You can upload more than one file at a time
- You can post comments about photos
- You can create personal albums
- You can search by keyword
- You can rate photos on a scale from 1 to 5
- You can edit or delete your own comments
- You can move your photos from one category to another
- You can choose to be notified of new posts to your photos or photos to which you want to subscribe (email notification).
- You can sort thumbnail display pages by alphabetical, most popular, most active, by date, and by number of views
- Member Galleries section displays disk space used by each member so you can keep track of your disk usage
- Private Personal Albums - Private Albums are assigned a unique URL which you can share with friends for restricted access.
- View Recent Uploads - A link to show the posts in the past 1, 7 and 14 days.
- View All Uploads - can be viewed and then sorted (for example to see the most popular uploads in all groups)
- My Favorites - You will have the ability to "tag" images for your own "My Favorites" feature. Viewing My Favorites shows the tagged images in a gallery format.
That sounds awesome! I have an album right now but I can just re-upload them into the new one when it's finished. So I'm not worried if they get deleted, but the 3 month deadline sounds like a good idea. I love how you just keep making this site better and better! :emt_thumbs::emt_thumbs: Keep up the great work!
