The social group mod was just for you. I think there's a lot to be explored with the new functionality. I'm pretty sure the notification will work with this version.

I really liked the function to quickly see which of my friends are online and PMing them was easier for me that way.I ate my fish that died.

Okay, I know this isn't the final solution, but here's a workaround....
Go to the Quick Links menu, click it, and on the dropdown, click "Open Contacts PopUp".
Maybe that'll help while I figure out how to get that in a sidebar.Our Fishhouse
