If you have a hotmail.com, live.com, or msn.com (or any other Microsoft email address), this is important for you to read.
For some reason, HFB has been blocked by Microsoft from sending any emails to anyone with a hotmail.com, live.com, or msn.com email address. I have been working on getting this resolved for weeks now. I've confirmed that we are not sending any spam, that our server has not been compromised and used by anyone else to send out spam, and that we are following all the security requirements to prevent the use of our server for any kind of malicious activity.
I've submitted the form to them twice to get us taken off their blacklist, but it hasn't happened yet. I'm going to continue trying to get this resolved, but I just wanted to let everyone know that if you use a Microsoft email address, you won't receive any email notifications. This includes the email you receive when you first register. This is a problem because without confirming your registration, you will not be able to post. I've been trying to manually confirm those of you who do register with a Microsoft email address, but I may miss some.
Until I get this resolved, if you register using a Microsoft email address, you are welcome to email me at admin@houstonfishbox.com and let me know so I can put you in the correct group and allow you to post. This will not fix the problem with receiving notifications, but you will be able to post.
Another option is to create a gmail or yahoo account to use with HFB. You can then set up that email account to forward all emails to your Microsoft account. If you want to do this and need help setting up forwarding, I can help you get that done. Just let me know.
