How about a Raffle? Fishbox could raffle off dontated items....like a basket or package of items or fish. Another option is to raffle for a perks package on Fishbox.

I Think the Best way to collect the money without electronic transaction if you to come Ken to our the next meeting (GHAC) and express yourself. All the people at the club are frequent users of this web site and sure do not want to see it gone.
The next meeting will be at the beginning of November (I hope). Please come and we can rise some fund there.

Give all the LFS's a multi-tier sponsorship choice......something like:
Tier A: the LFS gives no moneys but agrees to put out a donation jar for HoustonFishBox and will sell HFB merchandise......in exchange the LFS gets a small mention on the website.
Tier B: the LFS might agree to donate a small amount yearly AND have a donation jar and sell HFB Merchandise..........in exchange for a larger mention plus a small map on HFB.
Tier C: the LFS gives a larger amount and the other 2 AND gives a specific discount to HFB members  ...........for multiple ads on HFB as well as co-sponsored events like raffles, meetings, and even telethons to raise money for HFB could be done at these sponsors........which would raise their number of potential customers.
A yearly list of expenditures for HFB needs to be worked up so that we could figure out how much is needed to be raised and how much would be needed to be charged for the different sponsorship tiers. Perhaps a board would need to be put together to oversee all fundraising and to make sure all this is kept clean in the eyes of the IRS.
