hey all, im new to the forum and located in the pearland area.....
i currently have a 10g set up with harlequin rasboras, dwarf pleco & 2 cory cats... I have an albino cory that I shouldnt have got for that, he's way to big
I have a 60g bow tank that I want to set up, going this weekend to try and locate something to set it up on (Im low budget, cant just fork out $200 for a real stand)...
I was into fish at a young age, got out of it for years.. im about 40..... i had a betta named Rudy I got for my girl... well he was a great fish... and made me realize how much I loved fish again....
Sadly, I used the old top off method in the 10g and that habit cost Rudy his life due to fin rot.. everything was fine until all of the sudden he developed what was I guess a bacterial infection...I felt so bad... he was my friend.... Ignorance I guess, Im sorry he paid for my lack of research with his life... that being said Rudy has inspired my to do right by all fish I keep with careful watching of the water Q and at least weekly changes for my harlequin rasboras... most important doing some research before I buy any fish and NEVER take the advice of petsmart folks... (albino cory would be fine in 10g...etc...)
It was a nice thing to get home yesterday and my rasboras were real happy to see me and to eat, of course !!
I enjoy reading these posts and others experiences... my sister has some baby chichlids she bred and I'm gearing to get that 60g going and have them in it...
anyway... peace
