  • Hi

Hi. My name is Duc and I'm a koi addict.

Live in DFW area and found this site through DFWfishbox.

I do not keep aquaria currently but did in the past.

My passion is koi and sharing in the hobby.

Look forward to meeting you all in the near future.

    Best Regards,

    Duc

              Yo Duc! Welcome to HFB.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

                  Welcome Duc.

What does it mean to be the "Show Chair"?
                  Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

                    thanks everyone for the welcomes.

show chair the title for the "club idiot" as my friend brett rowley likes to say (go visit his farm, it is in Danbury)

basically i am accountable for all aspects of the koi show but not necessarily the person doing all the activities to put on a koi show.

while i make most of the on the spot decisions during the show (judging questions, do we need to switch tanks due to a spawn, disqualification, etc...), the heavy lifting is done by the members to set up, run the various tasks during the show and clean up. my duties are many but the #1 priority is to provide the best environment to display the koi for the general public and the judges as they are the stars of the show.

if you go to our website: www.dallaskoikichi.ogr under galleries, you can see a show in action and the video gives some insights.

our next show is Sept 3-5th at Bass Pro Shops in Grapevine. come experience and share in this hobby!

                    best,
                    Duc
