Re: Are us out of state fishy folks welcome as well?

I raise Honduran Red Points (the oldest are just about old enough to sell now), Herotilapia multispinosa (Rainbow cichlids) - assuming the fry are still in the tank hiding and haven't been eaten, the Cryptoheros Sajicas (T-Bar Cichlids) will spawn fairly soon (female is just a little too small), and eventually the Spinosissiumus will be big enough, they are still juvies - and of course I'm looking to start breeding plecos as well if I can find the breeders.

I have a question - how come some of the topics won't let me post a reply.  Says something like I don't have permission.  Was wanting to chime in on one of the DIY topics...  Maybe someone can help me get going on these forums...?  Oh yeah, how do I change the thing under my avatar that says "look at me I'm new"?

If you are logged in you should be able to post. If you post enough something else will replace the "look at me I'm new". If you still have trouble contact the site owner.

Yeah, one would assume so - since I can post here with no problem, but that DIY section I keep on getting the error message.  Perhaps the moderator could chime in here and let me know how I can post in the "forbidden areas" of the forum (seemingly anyway)...?

If you go up this list about six posts where it says: houstonfishbox and click PM you can send the site owner a private message. I did this for you this time already so you should hear from him soon. Mzungu and Phish Phreek can help you as well.

I see maybe. The last item in the list with a lock picture in front of it no one can post there except moderators and the site owner!

Actually your 150g built in tank thread.  Sorry it didn't work out, thought it might be helpful to someone else.  Anyway, thanks for checking it out - glad it wasn't just me with "user error"!

Yeah, I was excluding the driving part!! LOL.  Colorado Springs is nice if you have to have a big city, but the mountains away from the city are so much more beautiful.  Where we live, we have no smog, pollution, crime, or traffic - BUT when we have to go to the "big city", it's a two hour drive.  That puts some folks off, but we only do it about once a month, so it's worth it for us to have such a wonderful setting to live in with incredible 14,000+ mountains all the way around us.  I only miss the beautiful trees and flowers and our friends and church in Texas - not the weather for sure.  C'mon up for a visit sometime - you'll love it in the mountains.  Most Texans do - we're part of that group for sure.

Sajica.s are the best i have one, had 3 others that decided to play king of the mountain, and one is left... for being the smallest cichlid, he does well standing up against a parachromis 3x his size...

Now this IS irritating!  Not only would it not let me post to that previous topic (150g in wall tank in DIY projects), but now it won't even let me post a new topic in that section!  Methinks there's a bug in the HoustonFishBox.  I just wanted to share our experiences with building an in wall tank...  I get this message: "You might not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied."

I meant, "sorry it didn't work out that I could post" because you never know when someone's experience might be helpful to another.  We did a built in aquarium as well and thought my "ramblings" might be of some use to another person.

Still don't know why I couldn't post in the DIY as a new thread.
