Welcome to the box and welcome to Texas! One thing about our weather is if you dont like it just hang on because its going to change pretty fast. lol And if the weather man says sunny and dry for the day you better get out your rain slicker and maybe even a boat

Well, I will be working in a cancer lab. . .Originally posted by fshfrk View PostWe are also the air conditioning capital of North America and sun screen is cheap compaired to skin cancer.
I've lived in Michigan (near Lake Michigan) for all but three years of my life. We had temperature swings in back-to-back days on a weekend of 65 degrees and 35 degrees. It was ridiculous. Those other three years were spent in Maine. Everything's fine, then you're not leaving your house because the snow has buried your car. I'll never forget coming home from visiting family, and not being able to pick my car out of the snow pile.Originally posted by seminoleranch View PostWelcome to the box and welcome to Texas! Tell your boss you need to go home to take care of your "cichlids." It sounds an awful lot like "sick kids."

I'm with you...if I spend too much time outside in the Summer, I fear I would be reduced to a pile of ashes.Originally posted by TonyO View PostTell that to the freckles on my shoulders that were the remnants of blistering when I was 18!
I tend to move from one air conditioned building to another.

That's what I thought, too. I'm going to treat the heat like I treat the winters here. I'm only outside if I'm walking to and from the car.Tell your boss you need to go home to take care of your "cichlids." It sounds an awful lot like "sick kids."
