  • Returning to the hobby

Hey guys, just wanted to say hello and tell a little about myself. I live in Crosby, and just recently purchased my first aquarium in over 10 years and can not say enough about how awesome it has been. I once had about 9 aquariums in my house in Baytown, but with the birth of my son and being part owner in a custom cabinet shop I was not able to keep up with the tanks and sadly had to sell them all. Now that my son is 12 and interested in fish I thought this would be a great way for our family to do something together (other than video games). I purchased a 90 gallon aquarium off of craiglist that just needed a little clean up and water and it was ready to go. Look forward to talking and learning as much as I can about the hobby. Thanks for the time and have a great day.

Right now I just have some assorted African Chichilds and 2 Synodontis catfish. Hoping to learn more in the future about specific types of chichilds.

Great! HFB has tons of people with tons of knowledge about Africans, so you came to the right place.

Welcome back to the hobby. It can be hard to stay away. I think it will be a good hobby to share with your son.
Tell your boss you need to go home to take care of your "cichlids." It sounds an awful lot like "sick kids." )

I would eventually like to try other chiclids, once I get a little more knowledge, and persuade my wife that there is room for a least one more tank.
