Lets see, I'm new to HFB as well as the fish keeping hobby (sorta). We had fish growing up but never to the extent I have read about here and other places. I've gotten into this due to a friend of mine and his dad who now keeps saltwater setups.
I currently have a small 10g in my office at work with some zebra danios. I am in the process of setting up another 10g at home for my daughter to start learning to keep. I also have a 30g that was given to me to start me out (I don't think that one will last long before I find bigger). I am reading more and more about the African cichlids, specifically the mbuna fish, and think this will be the setup I go with.
I look forward to learning lots while browsing the site.
On another note, there are some things I am looking for suggestions on where to get them, eco-complete african cichlid substrate and holey rock. Anyone know the best places around town to get them from or even online?

Welcome to the Box! I, like Zulaab (wondering what that stand for :? ) was absent from the addiction, errr hobby, for many years. Not quite 22 years, but too long. When I started back I started with Africans which were totally new to me. I have since began migrating back to my personal favorites of Angel Fish and Discus. You'll find a lot of helpful members here, more than willing to share their experience and advice with you. It's also a great place to become involved in local and not so local events, depending on where you live.
