Hey HFB,
My name is Brandon. I think I used to have an account on here years ago under a different screen name, but who knows what happened to that.
A little about me...
I'm a marine biology graduate from Texas A&M University in Galveston. I have worked for Moody Gardens and a now closed saltwater aquarium store that was located in Webster. I'm currently employed as a chemical analyst for one of the major oil companies and in my free time I write aquarium articles on my blog and a couple of other sites. These are of course geared toward the saltwater side of the hobby, but we're all fish nerds right
. I'm also an amateur photographer of aquatic life, and I take tons of pictures of anything I find interesting.
Many of you may recognize my name from the other aquarium community in Houston (MARSH), but I've decided to branch out into other communities. I'm a member of more than a dozen national aquarium forums, so what's one more right?
Anyways, I am currently running two saltwater aquariums. One is an 80-gallon display/frag aquarium while the other is a rimless 90-gallon tank from AGE/Fish Gallery. I'm still in the process of assembling the 90-gallon, but it does have water in it at least.
I had no idea HFB had a saltwater section, as I thought the entire site was dedicated to freshwater. I'm glad to see this obviously (hence I joined the club...again), and hope to contribute as much as possible. And who knows, the salty side might get a couple of converts out of it. Just kidding, but I do look forward to interacting with yet another club.
I'll cut the rambling short there for now.
Thanks,
Brandon Klaus
