Philippine blue angelfish hobbyist/breeder, not new to the site, but REALLY inactive!
My name is Haiven and I've been an inactive member on this forum since Feb 2006. I'm from Dallas and am an active member and moderator of the DFWfishbox. I have recently retired and have the luxury of plenty of time to spend on my hobby/obsession. I currently have 18 tanks set up and would have more but I'm running out of room in the house!
When I was last here, I was raising African cichlids, but in the last three years I've switched to angelfish, specifically Philippine blue bloodlines. I raise pinoys, paraibas, platinum blues, blue zebras, blue ghosts... I started with Ken Kennedy's stock, and have bred veiltails and pearlscales into many of my offspring.
If any of you are interested in juvies, breeding pairs, etc., please let me know.
Last December I won six discus juvies at our holiday G2G (get together) and started raising discus. I currently have about 25 of them. I'm going to try to avoid breeding them since I prefer to see all the magnificent colors together in a tank, but I'm afraid the discus may have different ideas.
In addition to the angelfish and discus, I also have all kinds of cories (at least six in each tank) and all kinds of bristlenose plecos. I have the usual breeders (reg. BNs, ABNs, LFBNs, LFABNs, as well as red marbles, longfin red marbles, longfin chocolates, longfin calicos and even a single longfin green female that breeds with a longfin chocolate. :)
