Hey I just wanted to introduce myself. I have been in the Houston area now for three years. I moved from FL to the medical center and then in Jan. I moved from the Medical center to Humble. I have a wife, child on the way and 4 gold fish. I got the gold fish when I first moved to Houston because I have always had a tank and I couldn't call Houston home until I had one. Of course my wife think I am nuts when it comes to fish. She thinks I spend to much time reading about them or playing in my fish tank.
Even though I only have a gold fish tank now I am not exacly new to the fish world. I have kept fish my whole life and growing up my parents had a 150g reef tank.
I have plans to build my own tank out of acrylic with the sump and also a protein skimmer built in. The tank will be a smaller tank (about 55g total). I guess you can say it will be my version of the Bio Cube except I plan on having the sump and protein skimmer on the sides of the tank rather then the back so that you can see through it.
Depending on how that tank goes (and my merriage) I will also like to build a larger reef tank (about 150-200g).
With all that being said I can't wait to dig into my project so that I can start meeting some of you guys in person buy/trading frag corals and fish.
