Returning to Planted Tanks

Hi Everyone!
I was on Theplantedtank.net when I noticed a link to HAAPS. As a local Houstonian, I thought I'd drop in and say hello. I just recently got back into planted tanks. I had a couple over the past 7 years but quit when I got my dog. Unfortunately last June I lost her to lymphoma. After moving last fall, I decided to set up another tank again. After weeks of preparation, I decided to go with a 46 bow front tank. I hope you all enjoy the photos. I'm looking forward to interacting with the community!

another outstanding piece of wood, may i ask where you found it? BTW welcome if you update your location you may be able to find boxers that are on your side of town. i want to check out HAAPS too and have also decided to join GHAC this month since i have met a few members already. there a group forums at the bottom of the forum page and you can pm davemonkey for info on HAAPS

Hey and thanks for the warm welcome. I picked this up at Xtreme Pets off Bellaire. I've been going there for years and have had lots of good luck there. I'm certainly happy to be here and be involved. This looks like a great local community!

Certainly:
60 LBS Flourite Dark
No co2 at this time
periodic treatment with flourish excel
T5 Lights, 1 - 10000k and 1 - 12000k bulbs @ 10 hrs a day
Working on a DIY moon light setup out of the "out of the box" light fixture.
Rena 721 Filstar XP2 Canister Filter

& lots of TLC
