welcome, i was wondering if you were going to make it to the box! nice to have another NE sider. unnatural decorations arent much of an interest to me but i dig the buddha tank. another member here (airjammer) has a celtic cross tank that i like too. those compostions kinda inspire me to do a tombstone or sunken ship thing someday. if you are interested, the GHAC meeting is on our side of town this month, over by old town spring. the hosts are super nice people and many of the members are pretty interesting. except for that one guy. he knows who he is.

Hi there! Good to see a familiar screen name. The buddha tank actually looks kind of different these days. Tons of moss and I pulle dout the wisteria cause it was growing all scraggly like. I am trying to get some torta val to grow around the buddha instead. if it grows in I think it'll look pretty good.

I am planning to go to the meeting this month so I guess I'll see you there!

That would look pretty cool. I am going to try a sunken temple thing...it is either going to look great or be a total disaster. It could really go either way, but I am going to give it a try anyhow.

i kinda feel scapes are a work in progress, some of my poor plants barely get roots in the soil before i decide that i want them somewhere else to grow out. i have taken to placing them with binder clips for a couple days until i decide if thats where they should be lol. i am hoping more details on amano's 'spherical soil ball' techniques will be brought to the light soon. portability + healthy root systems

i'm sure he feels that he has to get paid first just like he does with all his suppliments. i understand capitolism but sometimes its about feeding the hobby.

Oh I agree. There's no doubt in my mind he's a genius, and he deserves both his status and his living...but I do wish he had perhaps a little less desire to profit. Ce la vie, that's the Almighty Dollar for you.
