Hi!  Well, what can I say?  I'm like most of you, completely obsessed with my fish!  It started out innocently enough.  My cousins (who have always been into fish) gave me a 55 Gallon setup for Christmas a few years ago.  I thought it was cool, but I had no idea how amazing it was going to end up being!!  I got into cichlids, and within about 6 months had outgrown the 55.  So, I bought a 125 to deal with my habit.  No big deal, right?  Soon, the 55 and 125 weren't enough...I needed a 150.  So, there I was with a 55, a 125, and a 150, and no dining room table anymore. lol  Then I got married.  And my husband fell in love with the fish!  I won't bore you guys with the specifics, but we now have a 210 that we resealed (and hopefully will be up and running this weekend), a 150 for the Frontosa and Giraffe Cat, a 125 for my original brood of cichlids, a 100 with mostly South American cichlids, 2 - 75's for our Tropheus, a 55 full of baby Frontosa, a 55 on loan, a 10 full of baby convicts, and a 29, 20, and 10 for emergency backups.  Well, that's about it.  My family is starting to threaten me with an intervention, so it sure was nice to find this site.     Feels like home.

I know I am not done buying tanks... and I hope to pick up some bigger tanks than I have today :)

the reality is that we are all fishaholics on here just about....there's always a need for "bigger".....i innocently started off with a 29.....ohhhhhh my goodness....between my sweety cichlidfan and i we now have 18 tanks in our house.....we also have plans and aspirations for more....he has a 125 at work....i have a 135 at his work...and a 110 we're hoping to get up soon....so welcome to the madness...we all are in it fin deep...hehehehehe.....

Thank you all for confirming I'm not crazy...er...at least not alone in the fish insanity.  I've been lurking for a while, made a couple donations, a couple trades and purchases on here, so I finally decided to just jump in full force.  I'm so glad I did!  You guys are so great and hilarious!!

By the way, I'm so addicted to this site that I am actually VPN'ed to my work and remotely using my computer at the office to post and read.  My IP is blocked again from home.

i guess im lucky at being not blocked, but i may have online mishaps as i move and have to wait till the 18th to get internet at the new apartment, but i am watching my old house cus the mom is on vacation so here i am online  welcome to the box. and at least being a fishaholic wont damage you liver like other addictions :wink:

OMG!  18 tanks??!!  And we thought we had a lot of tanks!!  Where do you have them all?  Our dining room is wall to wall aquariums, we've extended our hallway with an aquarium on both sides of the walkway, and can't use our fireplace because it was either cover the fireplace with furniture...sit on the floor...or, bite my tongue, get rid of a tank.     You are my hero...<bowing>...I'm not worthy.  haha

oh girlfriend.....they are any place we can get them...hehehehehe...the living room, the den,  bedroom, the kitchen.....i'd rather have a fish tank than furniture ...who needs a couch?....just sit bean bags on the floor, as long as i have pillows i'm good to go.....hehehehehe....the cool thing is that we both love fish and tanks so i don't have to worry about not getting to put another one up when either of us want one.....lol.......
