They should be fun, lots of different options and there are a lot of cool endangered/extinct species in the wild that are only kept alive via the aquarium hobby. I think its those that always capture my attention and make me want to do a fun livebearer tank. Try searching for Goodeids online, they are occasionally available and would be a fun project tank you could be proud of.

Yeah I think if I got the chance I'd work with either Tequila splitfins or humpback limias...though bass goodieds and rainbow characyds (spelling is wrong, tapatalk bound lol) would all be fun. They have a category for wild type livebearers on aquabid that is worth looking over. Very cool stuff
