Hello all,
I'm new to the forum however I've met several folks at the meeting I attended with James (JStrider).
We won three crayfish there and some beautiful sail fin mollies (7). I'll say a few things about myself to start off...
Currently I'm living in College Station and visit Houston on most weekends where James and I enjoy his fish and learning more about them. Soon after James had his tank set up for a while with the crayfish they began growing rapidly and attempting to murder his other fish (we were told by Spot that they are opportunist)....which is where my fish tank comes in.
So later on...Valentines Day shows up and my present is a fish tank and set up from James (how romantic!) :). However we got a fish tank from this guy who was selling a ton out of his storage unit trying to empty the space (I think JS found him on here maybe!). So we go there to exchange mine for one that cleans up a bit easier and leave with 3 more aquariums later. 1 - 45G Hex Tank w/ Stand, 1 - 30G Long, 1-20G. The base of mine needed some work, so I sanded it, stained it and varnished it. Looks good as new now.
I set up the tank with JS's help and now we have three happy crayfish and seven bleeding heart tetras along with a beautiful piece of driftwood. We got seven tetras because if one goes missing...I won't notice for a while and they're hardy along with cost efficient. I already posted a few pictures of my crays on the Florida Blue thread but I'll put some on here too.
I'm really looking forward to being part of the community. I'm glad I got back into the hobby. They help with the stresses of school.
(notice all the plants that are on their way to be eaten) Well thats some stuff about me, I plan to participate with JS as much as possible when I'm in Houston.
