 When Ken started the HFB I sometimes wonder if he envisioned it would become the success it has.  Now that the ownership has changed to imagirlgeek, I'm sure the site will continue to grow.  I agree it's nice to have local people you can interact with.  There are a lot of local activities where you can put faces to names, provided the faces wear nametags  :evil: .

I wouldn't need a nametag. I am the only person in the city to have blue hair and wear a suit. If they replaced waldo with me, blind kids wouldnt even be challenged when reading "Wheres Puppy?" books. If I still cant be found, the female next to me will always be wearing some pair of platform high heel boots and barking. While I might not be able to locate my car when leaving the astrodome, my car can easily locate me. If necessary though we do have our names on our collars.

btw ... how the heck did this massive forum of houstonians come to exist??? i would not have joined if this was a random nationwide fish forum but it seems people here even have friendships offline as well and that is really appealing to be able to have locals you can meet up with to trade stuff with and give hell to.

Yep...99.7 percent of us communicate offline. I make up the .3 that don't!
