i never really left, and i am still keeping my uromastyx, but i will eventually be getting a pair of pastel dragons, my parents said if i give them half the money for the baby dragons, them i can have lizards and fish.

but yeah, i was never really gone, just starting from scratch, looking back at the post, the title getting out of the hobby was kindof a stupid title, i never intended to ever leave the hobby.
i think once an avid fish keeper, you will always be in it.
i just wanted to sell everything, and start over. kindof reassess what im keeping, and find fish that i will actually stick with long term, i have been doing massive research, and i think big aggroo CA will suit me well, do to the interaction you get with them.
but i am not getting any fish until the tank is up and going properly, ie; when i get my wetdry and it is somewhat established.
i have always had reptiles, like i stated, i have had these beardies for well over 2 years.
i have had my pair of box turtles for over 15 years, and my female red eared slider for over 5 years.

29g is too small for a pair of bearded dragons. Minimum for an adult dragon is a 40g breeder.

For those interested learning more about beardies http://www.beardeddragon.org/ is a good source. They are great pets and easy to hatch and raise the babies.

            Good luck on the sale!

yes a bigger tank would be ideal, but they have lived in this tank from 5", and are still breeding up a strom, i would reccomend like a 4ft 55g, but they will be fine in a 29g, i got the info from eric at pets a plenty.

                he is a great source!

how much do you sell the babies for and how long do you have to wait until you can sell them? how often do they breed?

they breed regularly every 30 days, in fact i think she might be graved/developing eggs right now.

the eggs typically take ~65 days to hatch, after they hatch, it will take them approximatly 40-50 days to grow to ~4", at which time you can sell them for ~$45 each.
she lays on average 19 eggs every 30 days.
so its a monthly process, so every month you should have eggs incubating, and babies ready to sell, after the initial 5 months.
they are great money makers, how do you think i pay for all the fish crap i buy then sell 2 weeks later ,lol

oh, and you have 40g breeders which is the ideal size for them as the karens stated.
so you can upgrade them whenever you choose:)
