they are becoming harder and harder to get, and more and more expensive.

I ended up with two "rescue turtles" from my friend's daughter who apparently didn't know that living creatures needed to be fed (the third one starved to death). Einstein and Copernicus lived on my back deck, but once they were healthy, the male (oddly good at climbing- I woudlnt have guessed that from a turtle!) escaped, and later on I released the female back into the woods (they were caught in the woods originally).
