Looking for Kittens

Hey, i've been looking around since november for a new kitten but i cant seem to find one and everytime i do find one it usually ends up already being adopted/ taken. I've tried craigslist, petfinder, and some animal shelters (i basically live at caps on i-10). I don't know where else to look, i told the people at my vet that if they knew anyone that was having kittens to tell them i'm interested, but obviously when you've got a million things going on your not gonna remember that some kid was looking for kittens.

the only other option is looking for them locally but i have no clue where to look ! the other cat we have we got because a friend knew someone who found kittens and they reffered them to us. But we honestly don't have a clue where to look.


if you know anyone or anywhere to get kittens (preferably young no older than 4 months) pleeeeeeeease tell me!

I'm really surprised that you haven't been able to find a homless kitten. The SPCA normally has more than they can find homes for.

That's what I said! I accyually found a cat at cap a while ago but I have 4 dogs and apparently the limit is 3 dogs unless you license them, therefore they didn't let me adopt it. I have wanted to go to the SPCA but havnt had the time since most shelters close at 5 and I've got school until 4. Now that it's spring break I plan on going there sometime this week.

Note: the dogs are all cat friendly

As szidlon stated, SPCA is a great place to find cats/kittens. On this page alone there are at least five kittens that at 4 months old:

the thing is I'm looking for specific traits. I'm looking for a

medium to long haired cat
Preferably not all black or all gray or calico
Blue eyes (although this is not as important)

I'm willing to consider short haired cats I'm just not a big fan of all black or all gray cats. I know it's bad to be picky but it's always been a hope of mine to have a cat with those traits

You could call up some of the local pet adoption agencies and tell them what you are interested in.

I only listed the websites of the agencies that I knew offhand. You may be able to find websites of the other agencies through a simple google search.

I have already emailer hcphes but they havnt responded. I also just found out about purrfect pets Inc and am going to to check them out tomorrow. I've tried a.r.k. But they rarely have kittens. I'll try looking at the other places you mentioned as well now.

nevermind i think i e-mailed purrfect pets though, but im gonna go look at special pals tomorrow after work, i saw some kittens on petfinder that sparked my interest, hoping theyre not already adopted

I have a half grown kitten - but older than 4 months. white and black. I have too many critters to feed right now, and wouldn't mind her going to a caring home.
