I've got one of the old versions... It does not make a good only vacuum, but works pretty well in between real vacuums.

you do need to clean out the dustbin pretty often, it works much better when its empty.

Good question... The one on Woot and the one I have has a charging station and when the battery gets low it returns to the home dock to recharge.

Mine kicks A$$. It goes home for recharging when the battery gets low, cleans like crazy and even better, seems to have a radar for tracking the cats which is freaking awesome. Ours even has what I call the "4x4" option. If it gets stuck is lifts up and kicks into overdrive. It vacuumed up a cat toy yesterday then beeped at me to clean it out. I would buy it again.
