So, that video made me think of something weird that we saw on the GHAC collection trip at Lake Houston, don't know why. So I started searching for what on earth those things in the lake could have been, and - TADA! They're bryozoans, too! Weird! So, not only can you find these in a N. Carolina sewer, but also in Lake Houston. Lol.
