The NATO designation of the .223 is 5.56x45mm - As far as I know there are no differences. I bought 1000 rounds of .223 2-3 yrs ago for just above $200. Now 400 for $200 is a good price.

This is why I have started to reload. My friend bought a progressive and we have been buying powder, primers etc...

it seems that sometimes reloading makes a lot of sense. but i live in a tiny appartment, so no room for a shop. i am seriously lookin at houses soon, and not just cause of the proposal, but im gonna need one huge garage. since i will need room for reloading equipment, a tooling and light machine type shop for knife making and woodwork, plus leather craft gear, and then of corse i want to have my own forge for tool making and bladesmithing. besides the usuall home oil and fluid changes on the cars lol. maybe i just wont have a house, just a giant shop.

My Friends reloading table is an old 4 seat (almost square) dining table. It does not take a lot space. He took an old garage sale dining table (it was free) mounted all the tools to it and sat down. Its in a corner so he doesnt even use two sides of it.

To get a shop that size etc... Let me excite you with a piece of land out in Brookshire. Build a nice small home for you an Shelley.. and a HUGE Barn (opps garage) for David... heheh :)

Trust me the idea of moving out of town sounds great. To me. Not so much to the future wife. And we know who will win that battle. The bank, they win no matter what lol.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

if that was going to be the case i would go back to being bachelor. naw actually we are really big on making decisions together, and keeping each others freedoms. yeah because otherwise i would have gone insane a long time ago.

Only thing I shoot is 9mm and .45 ACP, but he has been reloading .308 rifle rounds too. Going to work on .223 but the problem with them is that filling the shells are a pain in the a$$.
Going to go see the range sometime this week I am thinking..
Got to sight in my Saiga AK47 rifle.
When are you going to the range?

You going on your side of town?

Let me know if you haven't already gone.

Peter -- I usually go down on my side of town, but if we set something up we can go up over at Carter's Country in Spring, here in a few weeks on a Sunday.
My friend is a member of Bayou Rifle which is down in Iowa City (about 10 miles south of Pearland) so its free to go there, but that would be a hell of a drive for someone up north.
I need to find a job so I can pay to go on the range.
